A mothers role is
supposed to be a homemaker. I do not necessarily agree with that. But they say
in many cases it is better for the family to barley be scraping by on the
fathers salary than for both parents to go to work. There is a negative effect
on the children when a mother goes to work. The kids are usually left home with
older siblings, a daycare, or a friends house and this can result in the child
becoming violent and learning from other instead of their parents. But I do not
see it like this in my perspective. I definitely believe that the mothers most
important job is to be the mother and make sure the children are taken care of.
But coming from a family where my mom worked I guess I look at this situation a
little differently. If the mother can go to work with it not being in the way
of her taking care of the children then I do not see a problem with it at all. If
the kids have to go to a friends house every now and then, the kids wont
complain, they want to play with friends! Or if they have to stay with the
older siblings, I think that is also a good thing too because you are going to
learn things from your siblings that you wont learn from your mom. I love my
mom and my stepmom, and respect them so much for working and help supporting
our family. Because without them I do not know what our family would have done.
It taught me how to work for what I need and want.
